Norms, Identity & Culture
Norms are the informal rules that tell us how people are expected to behave. Identity shapes which groups we feel part of. Culture gives those rules and relationships much of their meaning.
This section covers social norms, values, and the expectations we pick up from the people around us. It includes the difference between what people commonly do and what they think others should do, as well as the conflicts that arise when priorities such as loyalty, fairness, and independence pull in different directions.
