Neurons & Synaptic Function

Neurons carry information through the nervous system. These entries look at how they’re built and how they communicate, from the axon that carries an electrical signal to the synapse where one cell influences another. They also cover changes in a cell’s voltage, the release of chemical messengers, and the receptors that respond to them. Reuptake is one of the ways those messengers are removed from the space between cells after they’ve been released.
