Learning & Conditioning
Learning changes what we do as we gain experience. We pick up connections between events, learn from the results of our actions, and watch how other people behave. Conditioning studies some of the basic processes behind those changes.
This section covers classical conditioning, reinforcement, learned responses, and the effects of practice and repetition. It also includes social learning theory, which looks at what we learn by observing others. Together, these topics help explain how a behavior starts, why it keeps happening, and what can make it fade.
