Hormones & Endocrine System

Hormones carry signals through the blood, helping different parts of the body coordinate what they do. This category covers the glands that produce them and the systems that regulate sleep, energy use, water balance, and responses to stress.

Many of these signals follow a daily pattern. Cortisol, for example, follows a circadian rhythm as well as responding to stress.
